Pongámonos al día.
Por ejemplo sobre SNES he encontrado esto:
[llamando estúpidos a los que usan ZSNES]
- I always use ZSNES and my boy has never let me down! What wrong with it?
For one thing, it behaves very, VERY differently from an SNES. StarFox, for example, plays at the wrong speed and the music desynchs. Several games have their special effects distorted or simply don’t appear at all. Star Ocean’s battles play at double speed, making it nearly unplayable, nevermind that the game frequently freezes up and crashes. Those aren’t game bugs, it’s emulation problems.
ZSNES is basically a decade old emulator designed to run on decade old computers and makes compromises to allow for said outdated hardware. It actually uses hacks to try to force a number of popular games to work - what I’m saying is, the whole thing is jury rigged from top to bottom.
SNES9x is considerably better, but BSNES is the only emulator that is compatable with 100% of SNES games and plays all of them accurately.
Google BSNES, byuu’s page actually has a page breaking down some of the major issues with outdated emulators like ZSNES.
Seriously though, I have no idea why people hang on to ZSNES. Everyone has long abandoned NESticle and ZSNES is basically in the same ballpark.
